The Washington Balalaika Society is a community-based Russian folk orchestra dedicated to studying, preserving and performing the rich musical heritage of Russia and Slavic countries on authentic instruments and in national costume. We are a low-stress and laid back reading orchestra that meets two Wednesdays each month. We're comprised of musicians of a variety of musical backgrounds and playing levels (intermediate or above).
